Francisca Raposo, former student of the “School of Friendship” in Staßfurt talks about her experiences.
When the 900 children and young people from all over Mozambique arrived in Staßfurt from 1982 they were full of eagerness to learn and optimism. They were to be
socialist personalities to serve their country. Today, they have mixed feelings about their time in the GDR. What remains is a life between worlds, neither here nor there are they at home.
Guest will be Francisca Raposo, former student of the School of Friendship, who will go on a reading tour through several places in Central Germany, including Jena, at the invitation of the project MIGRANTh.
